The scheme aims to help each and every farmer across the country in adopting better methods of farming by making use of expertise available in the form of large pool of Agriculture Graduates. The ACABC scheme is envisaged to provide expert services and advice to farmers on cropping practices, technology dissemination, crop protection from pests and diseases, market trends and prices of various crops in the market and also clinical services for animal health etc. which would enhance productivity of crops/animals and to start commercial Agri Ventures for Income generation and entrepreneurship development.

Terms & Conditions

Target Segment

All legal entities including individual, joint or partnership firms,  Limited companies doing activities under Agri Clinic or Agri Business Centers.
 
Eligibility Criteria

  • Graduates in agriculture and allied subjects recognized by ICAR / UGC. Degree in Agriculture and allied subjects offered by other agencies are also considered subject to approval of Department of Agriculture & Cooperation, Government of India on recommendation of the State Government.
  • Diploma (with at least 50% marks) / Post Graduate Diploma holders in Agriculture and allied subjects from State Agricultural Universities, State Agriculture and Allied Departments and State Department of Technical Education.
  • Post-Graduation in Agriculture allied subjects.
  • Degree courses recognized by UGC having more than 60 percent of the course content in Agriculture and allied subjects (as in para (i) ).
  • Diploma / Post-graduate Diploma courses with more than 60 percent of course content in Agriculture and allied subjects (as in para I. ), after B.Sc. with Biological Sciences from recognized colleges and universities.
  • Agriculture related courses at intermediate (i.e. plus two) level, with at least 55% marks


Nature of facility

Cash Credit/Term Loan


Margin
For Loans up to Rs.5 Lakhs – No Margin
For loans above Rs.5 Lakhs – Cash Credit – 15%,  Term Loan – 25
 
Quantum of Finance 
For individual – Ceiling of the project cost for subsidy is Rs.20 lakhs for an individual project (Rs. 25 lakhs in case of extremely successful individual projects) 
For group project - Celling of the project cost for subsidy is Rs. 100 lakhs. 
 
Period 

Cash Credit – 12 Months
Term Loan – 120 Months including grace period of maximum 2 years.


Subsidy
Back ended composite subsidy of 44% of project cost for women, SC/ST and all categories of candidates from NE and Hill states and 36% of project cost for all others. No interest is charged on subsidy portion of the loan as the subsidy is released up front with lock-in period of 3 years.


Primary Security 
Hypothecation of assets created out of bank’s finance.
 
Collateral security 
EM of land where the loan amount exceeds Rs. 5 Lakhs.
