Who doesn't want to live longer? Along with a long life, it is
important to live healthily. Maintaining the health of your body and
mind is as important today as having a job.
Many people say they know the importance of fitness but only a few
take an effort towards it. Those who take the effort realise just how
fulfilling it is. Not only does fitness training add years to your
lifespan but it also helps refresh your mind.
Running is among the most popular fitness activities in India. With
no gear needed and benefits for the entire body, the sport has
gathered a huge following over the years. In its
report titled 'The State of Running 2019', the International
Institute for Race Medicine found that on a global scale,
between the years 1986 to 2018, the number of people running increased
by 57% over the last 10 years.
Sense of belonging
Along with exercise and good health, running gives many people a
sense of belonging to the community. Running groups, trails, races,
and marathons have all been ways of connecting those who love to run.
In this light, Federal Bank has partnered with CleoSportz and the
Kerala Tourism Department with the aim of creating a community of
individuals who can support and learn from each other; a community
that is aware of the importance of one's health as well as that of the
city and state.
The Federal Bank Kochi Marathon was arranged on 1st May 2023 to bring
together a health-conscious community in one of Kerala's most
cosmopolitan cities. Various options like the full marathon, half
marathon, 10km and a special 3km green run ensured individuals of all
ages and skills could participate.
Supporting Planet Earth
The route for Federal Bank's Kochi marathon was set against the
background of the scenic backwaters of Kerala. This highlighted the
natural beauty of the state and also helped convey the message of
eco-consciousness to the community – a message to protect the Earth we
have before we lose it forever.
The 6,000+ enthusiastic participants in the Kochi Marathon took back
with them an experience to remember for life. The marathon saw eager
children, senior citizens, physically challenged individuals and
families participate without letting anything hold them back. Cheerful
moments shared among the participants were captured and published
across Federal Bank's online platforms, showcasing the potential of
striving to live a healthy life.
Strive for health
Federal Bank's focus on 'people before products' has driven the bank
to be proactive in improving their customers' banking experiences as
well as lives. The Kochi Marathon is just one of many upcoming
projects the bank is planning with the same strategy.
Federal Bank's motto of
Rishta Aap Se Hai, App Se Nahi' has been the core of the
bank's strategies. The bank considers the client to be the most
important factor and they are determined to work with local
communities as a priority.
