Good and Services Tax (GST ) Payments

Modes of Payment

Good and Services Tax (GST ) Payments can be made through the following modes by the Customers.

 

  • E-Payment – Through Retail Fednet
  • Over the counter payment – Through  Cash / Cheque / DD
  • Using NEFT / RTGS (Online / Offline).
  • The payments made through e-payments and OTC (Cash/ Federal Bank Cheque/DD) will be settled on a real time basis.
  • The Turn Around Time (TAT)  for settlement for other Bank cheques would be as per clearing status and for NEFT/ RTGS it would be as per RBI settlement cycle.

Steps

Steps to be followed for creating the Challan by the customer for making GST Payment

 

General Steps Common to All modes of payment

 

  1. Customer needs to create challan by accessing GST Portal https://www.gst.gov.in/
  2. Select Services>>Payments>>Create Challan
  3. Enter GST number ,Captcha and proceed
  4. Enter the Amount
  5. Challan will be created.(It will have Common Portal Identification Number (CPIN) bearing 14 Digits

 

Direct Payment through Net Banking

 

  1. Customer needs to select E-Payment option and click on generate challan
  2. Log on to FedNet
  3. Using Fednet can complete the Tax Payment

 

Over the Counter Payments

 

  1. Customer needs to select “Over the Counter” option select “Federal Bank” choose either Cash / DD/Cheque  and click on generate Challan.
  2. Download a Challan Copy
  3. Confirm the details entered and bring the Challan copy to the Bank Branch
  4. Hand it over to the branch official along with Cash /DD / Cheque for making payment.

 

Payment through NEFT/ RTGS

 

  1. Customer needs to select NEFT / RTGS  option , select “Federal Bank” and click on generate Challan.
  2. Make payment through NEFT / RTGS through online or offline mode.
