Federal Bank Add-on Credit Cards: Terms and Conditions
- Add-on Credit Card is an additional card issued to individuals/ family member (like spouse, parent or adult child etc.) of the primary card holder linked to Primary Credit Card holder’s account and uses the same credit limit as that of the Primary Credit Card.
- The features of the Federal Bank Additional Credit card (“Add-on Credit Card”) will be same as your primary Federal Bank Credit Card (“Primary Credit Card”) except as otherwise specified in this Terms and Conditions. These terms, as amended by the Bank from time to time, shall be binding on all Add-on Credit Card holders.
- Issuance/ maintenance of Add-on Credit Card is subject to the T&Cs, MITC and KFS executed for the Primary Credit Card. In the event of any inconsistencies in the terms and conditions mentioned in any of the above documents with the Terms and Conditions herein, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail in respect of the Add-on Credit Card(s).
- Issuance of the Add-on Credit Card will be subject to Federal Bank’s internal policy/ guidelines. An issuance fee/charge of ₹100/- plus applicable GST shall be charged for each Add-on Credit Card.
- A maximum of four (4) Add-on Credit Cards may be issued against each eligible Primary Credit Card. The Bank reserves the right to revise the permissible number of Add-on Credit Cards at its sole discretion from time to time.
- The individual in whose name the Add-on Credit Card is issued must have an existing banking relationship with Federal Bank as of the date on which the Primary Credit Card holder submits the application for the Add-on Credit Card.
- Add-on Cards shall not be issued to Individuals below 18 years of age (Minors).
- For issuance of Add-on Credit Card, it is mandatory that the Cardholder’s account associated with the Primary Credit Card should be in regular status, as per the Bank’s norms in accordance with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelinesThe credit limit assigned to the Primary Credit Card will be shared across all associated Add-on Credit Cards. The transaction limit for each Add-on Credit Card may be determined by the Primary Card holder at their discretion, subject to the overall credit limit of the Primary Credit Card.
- The Primary Credit Card holder shall be liable for all transactions made using the Add-on Credit Card. Such transactions will be reflected in the monthly statement of the Primary Credit Card holder.
- The Billing statements shall be issued separately for Primary Credit Card and Floater Credit Card on same dates intimating the respective Minimum Amount Due (MAD), Total Amount Due (TAD), Due Date for payment etc., as applicable for each Card. The billing cycle / period applicable for both Primary Credit Card and Add-on Credit Card shall be the same. Any changes effected in the billing cycle/ period for any of the Cards i.e., Primary Credit Card or Add-on Credit Card, shall be squarely applicable for the other.
- Non-repayment of outstanding amounts under each Credit Card(s) i.e., Add-on Credit Card or Primary Credit Card separately, will lead to debiting of applicable charges in the respective Card Accounts in line with the Most Important Terms and Conditions (MITC) for the respective credit cards variants. Cardholder shall not be entitled to claim the benefit of any excess/ surplus amounts credited with or available in one Card for dispensing with the applicable Charges on the other Card.

- If the Cardholder fails to pay the Minimum Amount Due on or before date indicated in the billing statement with respect to any of the Credit Cards, it shall be treated as a default in respect of both the Credit Cards i.e., Add-on Credit Card and Primary Credit Card.
- In case of default in payment of Dues in respect of any of the Credit Cards, the Bank shall be entitled to report the default along with the details to Credit Information Companies (CIC) or to such other agencies as approved by law. However, before reporting any default, the Bank will inform the Cardholder at least seven days in advance regarding the reporting of default
- In connection with default reporting to CICs, following conditions will apply:
- the Days Past Due (DPD) reported shall be the highest Days Past Due reflected amongst the Primary Card Account and the Add-on Card Account. (“Days Past Due” mentioned herein refers to the number of days from the Payment Due Date indicated in the Billing Statements, for which the Credit Card Account remains overdue i.e., without receipt of at least the Minimum Amount Due).
- Outstanding Balance (which means and includes the principal, interests, charges, fees and any other amounts payable by the Cardholder under the Credit Card Account/s to the Bank, from time to time) which shall be reported to CIC, shall be the aggregate sum of the total amounts outstanding under the Primary Card Account and the Add-on Credit Card Account jointly in a particular billing cycle/period.
- The Bank reports the details of defaulted Credit Card Accounts with CICs, on a monthly basis. In view thereof, the repayment status of the Credit Card Accounts shall also be reported on a monthly basis. Therefore, any settlement of dues made by the Cardholders after reporting to Credit Information Companies in the previous month shall be reported on the due date applicable for the upcoming month only. Further, in case any dispute/s is/are raised on any transactions, the reports pertaining to the defaults will be made only after settlement of such disputes. The Credit Information Companies will upload the submitted data onto their servers in another thirty days. In view of these reasons, removal of Cardholder details from the CIC default reports upon settlement of dues may involve the time gap afore-mentioned.
- Any default in repayment of the outstanding amounts/dues in respect of the Add-on Credit Card and classification of the Card Account thereof as Special mentioned Accounts (SMA), or Non-Performing Asset (NPA) as per the terms stipulated in MITC would result in blocking of the Primary Credit Card and Add-on Credit Card, without any prior notice and vice versa. The Credit Cards (both Primary Credit Card and Add-on Credit Card) will not be upgraded to Standard Asset/s and the cardholder shall not be permitted to utilize either of the Credit Cards (Primary Credit Card and Add-on Credit Card), unless and until the entire arrears /dues in respect of all Card accounts are settled/cleared.
- Transactions/Spends using the Add-on Credit Card will earn reward points in accordance with the applicable product-specific rewards structure. These reward points will be credited to the account of the respective Add-on Credit Card holder.
- Add-on Credit Card holders shall not be entitled to benefits or offers that form part of the Primary Credit Card such as Welcome Vouchers, Wellness Passes, Swiggy/Big Basket Vouchers, Lounge Access, Memberships or such other offers/rewards as decided by the Bank from time to time . However, the Bank may at its sole discretion, grant specified benefits to dd-on Credit Card holders such as INOX BOGO, FedDelights, and Network Offers, subject to the maximum aggregate value applicable to the Primary Credit Card.
- Add-on Credit Card holders shall not receive complimentary lounge access. However, their transactions on the Add-on Credit Card will be considered in meeting the spends criteria required for the Primary Credit Card holder to qualify for lounge benefits.
- The fuel surcharge waiver limit applicable to the Primary Credit Card shall be shared with the Add-on Credit Card and will be subject to the overall limit assigned to the Primary Card.
- If the Federal Bank detects any duplicate Add-on Credit Cards issued to a Primary Credit Card, the Bank will cancel/ invalidate these Add-on Credit Cards without providing prior notice to the cardholder.
- All communications related to the Add-on Credit Card (except transaction alerts and OTPs) shall be sent to the registered Communication Address, Email and/or Mobile Number of the Primary Credit Card holder, which shall be deemed as due notice to the Cardholder.
- For all transactions carried out using the Add-on Credit Cards, transaction alerts and One-Time Passwords (OTPs) will be sent exclusively to the registered mobile number of the respective Add -on Credit Card holder.
- Primary Credit Card holders can manage transactions on Add-on Credit Cards through the 'Manage Cards' section available in the post-login area of the Fed Mobile App or via IVR, using their registered mobile number.
- Add-on Credit Card holders shall not have the authority to change/modify the demographic details such as registered address, mobile number etc.
- In the event the Cardholder wishes to terminate the Primary Credit Card, he/she will first have to terminate the Add-on Credit Card. Notwithstanding anything contained herein, the Add-on Credit Card will be automatically invalidated upon invalidation/cancellation of the underlying Primary Credit Card, for any reasons whatsoever.
- Federal Bank reserves the right to decline/reject any application for Add-on Credit Card at its sole discretion, without assigning any reason whatsoever.
- Add-on Credit Cards shall be cancelled/ invalidated upon invalidation/ termination of Primary Credit Card, either at the discretion of the Bank or due to reasons attributable to the Cardholders (Primary Card Holder and Add-on Card Holder) For eg., delinquency.
- Any value-added service of credit card including Credit Card EMI Facility can be availed only on the Primary Credit Card and not on the Add-on Credit Card.
- Federal Bank reserves the right to deactivate, terminate and/or block Add-on Credit Card without any prior notice to the Cardholders and without assigning any reasons whatsoever.
- Federal Bank reserves the right at any time, without previous notice and without giving a reason whatsoever, to add, alter, modify, change or vary all or any of these terms and conditions or feature/benefits to the Cards or to replace wholly or in part this scheme of Add-on Card by another offer, whether similar to the offer or not, or to withdraw it all together. Credit Card Holders (Primary Credit Card holder or Add-on Card holders) shall not hold the Federal Bank responsible for, or liable for, any actions, claims, demands, losses, damages, costs, charges, expenses, which the Credit Card Holders may suffer, sustain or incur by the issuance of Add-on Credit Card/ extension of any offers or rewards or other benefits. Any change in the terms and conditions shall be intimated to you through email and/or SMS, at least one month prior to the revised terms and conditions becoming effective.
- If the Bank has effected any changes in the charges which is favorable to you, we will notify the change/s within 30 days of such change. However, if the change/s is/are adverse to you, prior notice of minimum 30 days will be provided, and you will be provided with options to close the Card account or switch to any other eligible loan product without having to pay the revised charge or interest within 60 days of such notice. Any cashback offered by Federal Bank in respect of various purchases/other transactions and eligible to the Cardholder will be credited to the respective Card Account, within 60 days of such transaction, unless withheld by Federal Bank for any specific reasons. The cashbacks offered by merchants will be credited in the Card Account, only upon receipt of such amounts from the Merchant.
Any and all disputes arising out of or in connection with or as a result of the Offer or otherwise relating hereto shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Courts/Tribunals in Ernakulam only.
