Two Factor Authentication for FedNet

Two-factor authentication is a security process in which the user provides two means of identification. It is an extra layer of security used to make sure that people trying to gain access to an online account are who they say they are. First, a user will enter their username and a password. Then, instead of immediately gaining access, they will be required to provide another piece of information.

It ensures that only authorized individuals' access their sensitive information or does online transaction. It provides substantially better security and makes it much more difficult for an attacker to impersonate the User and access his account.

Two factor authentication registrations can be done by using ‘2FA-Registration' link available in service requests.
Navigation path: Customer Service > Requests Services >  New Service Requests  > 2FA-Registration

As of now 3 types of form factors are available in FedNet.
  • Mobile Based OTP
