Federal Bank Hormis Memorial Foundation Scholarships 2018 Batch

Applications are invited for Federal Bank Hormis Memorial Foundation Scholarships for the academic year commencing from 2018-19 from students pursuing the professional courses. The scholarship is instituted in memory of the founder of Federal Bank, Sri K P Hormis. Scholarships are offered for the following courses:
  • MBBS
  • Engineering
  • B Sc. Nursing
  • MBA
  • B Sc. Agriculture including BSc (Hons) Cooperation & Banking
Students from the following states are eligible for applying for the scholarship. Students are requested to submit copy of the nativity certificate.  
  • Kerala
  • Tamil Nadu
  • Maharashtra
  • Gujarat


Annual family Income of the students applying for the scholarship should be less than Rs.3 Lakhs and an Income Certificate issued by the Revenue Authorities should be submitted to certify the same.
Last date of submitting the application: 31.12.2018 

Admission criteria

  • Students   applying for the scholarship should have secured admission under merit in Government/Aided and self-financing colleges during the academic year 2018-19.
  • The annual family income of the applicant should be below Rs.3L. 
  • A total of 20 students from each discipline will be reimbursed 100% of tuition fees paid as per the fee structure of the college, subject to a maximum of Rs.1 Lakh per year.
  • One seat in each discipline will be kept aside for physically challenged students, which shall be duly evidenced by a certificate issued by a Medical Officer not below the rank of DMO or an approved Medical Officer of the Bank.
  • If applications are not received under physically challenged category, it will be utilized under general category.
Students are required to visit the nearest Federal Bank Branch along with duly filled in Applications and required documents for verification on or before 31.12.2018.

Instructions for the students

  1. Print the application form and fill the details
  2. Attach copies of the following documents:
  1. Copy of Admission Letter     
  2. Copy of Bonafide certificate from the college
  3. Copy of course fee structure
  4. Copy of Mark sheets of qualifying Examination (If originals are already submitted to the college and not available for verification, attach copy of the mark sheet attested by the head of the college of study)
  5. Copy of Family income certificate issued by revenue authorities
  6. Copy of nativity certificate
  7. Copy of ID proof & Address proof
  8. Copy of Medical Certificate (applicable for physically challenged students)


  1. Visit Branch of Federal Bank branch near to the place of domicile of the students along with the Originals & copies of documents for verification.
  2. Last date of submission of application at the branches is 31.12.2018
  3. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
